Gates

A gate turns a slowdown into a warning or a failing check. Without a file, the default gate warns above +10% and fails above +30%.

Write api-tests/stresseur.yml:

gate:
  flow_time:
    warn_above: 15%
    fail_above: 30%
  error_rate:
    fail_above: 1%
  flows:
    admin-catalog-crud:
      flow_time: { warn_above: 20%, fail_above: off }
  • Values are 15% or 0.15. off turns a threshold off.
  • error_rate.fail_above: a failed flow fails the check only when more than this share of runs failed.
  • flows overrides flow_time per flow name.
  • Unknown keys are errors, shown with file and line. The last valid gate stays in force.

Notes:

  • fail_above applies when CI starts the app in the job or tests a pull request preview.
  • On GitHub-hosted runners the default gate only warns. A fail_above you write always applies.
  • Free plans warn only.
